Community Involvement

Valley Fair Mall takes great effort to take part in the West Valley City community by supporting local charities and non-profit organizations.  The following are just a few ways that Valley Fair Mall shows the community…“It’s All About You!”Kids

Kids Club
Valley Fair Mall holds a monthly Kids Club the first Thursday of each month from 10am-11am in Center Court where we are currently impacting the reading lives of 291 members of Kids Club.  Kids Club encourages children to develop a passion for reading as well as to give back to the community through quarterly community drives.  Members of Kids Club have donated 74 gently used books to West Valley Elementary, over 103 gently used and new teddy bears to the Taylorsville Fire Department and Children's Justice House, 9 pairs of eyeglasses to Eye Care for Kids and over 10 bags of groceries for local food pantries.  Members are currently collecting travel sized items to assemble travel bags for the Make a Wish Foundation.

City and Chamber Involvement
Valley Fair Mall is an active member of ChamberWest Chamber of Commerce (West Valley, Taylorsville, Kearns) as well as a member of the Salt Lake Chamber.  Valley Fair Mall received the Business of the Year award from ChamberWest in 2007 and Valley Fair Mall's Marketing Director, Holly Curby, received the Volunteer of the Year award from ChamberWest in 2008.  Valley Fair Mall hosts the city's annual Safety Fair each August, is a sponsor of the 5K Family Run at WestFest in June and serves as mentors and guest speakers in the Granite School District.

No More Homeless Pets in Utah Pet Adoptions
Save a life by adopting a cat or dog at pet adoptions held throughout the year in Center Court.  Valley Fair Mall has helped save 51 dogs and cats lives since 2006.  See the event page for the next Pet Adoption scheduled at Valley Fair Mall.  Volunteer or find out more information here.
